Fairfield (Buxton) Band is not only a successful contesting band but also runs a prize winning Junior Band.
Run by the band's Musical Director Charles Kitchen and Band Manager Helen Thurlby the Junior set up continues to grow from strength to strength teaching children to play brass instruments and also offering training as a band.
In May 2010 the Junior Band performed at the Buxton Music Festival where they won 1st prize in the Under 18s Brass Instrument Ensemble and 2nd prize in the Under 15s Instrumental Ensemble sections.
The Junior Band rehearse once a week on a Wednesday at Fairfield Band Room.
